Sampling locations of (A) coyotes (Canis latrans) and (B) raccoons (Procyon lotor) by county in Texas, USA, during January and March 2016. Hearts and blood of these hunter-harvested animals were tested via PCR for presence of Trypanosoma cruzi. Triangles mark counties from which T. cruzi PCR-positive animals were collected.
