The spread in documented and re-evaluated values of cathodic Tafel slopes of polarization curves measured for mild steel in sodium chloride solution. The re-evaluated values are the results of applying either the activation control fit or the mixed activation-diffusion control fit to the documented polarization curves of the different studies.
