The Ninety-ninth Annual Meeting of the Wilson Ornithological Society was held jointly with the Association of Field Ornithologists, 6–9 June 2018, at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. David Aborn, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, chaired the Organizing Committee, which also included Mark Deutschlander and Paul Rodewald.
The Council met from 0821 to 1743 h on Wednesday, 6 June, in Meeting Room #8 of the Chattanooga Convention Center. That evening there was a reception for conference attendees at the convention center.
The scientific program began on Thursday, 7 June, with the 2018 Margaret Morse Nice Plenary Lecture, delivered by Reed Bowman, titled “The challenges of long-term research: getting the work done and keeping it relevant.” On Friday 8 June, Valentina Ferretti presented a plenary lecture on “Variation in extra-pair paternity: lessons learned from studying birds in South America.” The scientific program also included 50 papers organized into 8 sessions,...
