The One Hundred First Annual Meeting of the Wilson Ornithological Society (WOS) was held in joint session with the Seventh North American Ornithological Conference (NAOC-VII) 10–15 August 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting occurred online instead of at the intended location of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Wilson Ornithological Society was a contributing host society along with the American Ornithological Society (AOS), the Association of Field Ornithologists (AFO), and the Society of Canadian Ornithologists/Société des Ornithologistes du Canada (SCO-SOC). Partnering societies were Birds Caribbean, La Sociedad para el Estudio y Conservación de las Aves en México (CIPAMEX), the Neotropical Ornithological Society (NOS), Para la Naturaleza, and the Waterbird Society. The meeting, whose theme was “Flight paths addressing global challenges,” had record-breaking attendance with over 2,900 registrants representing 74 countries.
